Feb 23,  · Quite simply put, "Worship The Glitch" found Coil exploring errors in their computer system with the unconscious plan to incorporate these deviations into an album. That really is all it was, there was no grand plot to pioneer a new genre or gain attention through some kind of technical prowess/5().

Anything That Flies; Ended - "ELpH is the entity Coil use to describe what musical compositions come out of the equipment that are sometimes unrehearsed or consciously thought of.") This album is essentially a collection of minimal instrumental sound pieces, not to say that the tracks are random noise, but rather snippets of "glitch" that.
  4. Fehn says:
The band called these unintentional emissions "ELpH": a conceptual being that is one part physical equipment, one part celestial being constantly playing the role of trickster, throwing a wrench into Coil’s methodology." The resulting album is one of the lesser knowns, but strikingly most outward gazing entries within the Coil catalogue.

Officially, this is released by ELpH vs. Coil, which only makes sense since ELpH is in fact Coil, the name having been adopted for work where unplanned results come out of the musical equipment in use -- a technological collaborative effort, one can seetichilloconvi.annapissoudelicihopersubtstomous.coer the exact origins, the results are even more on the edge than many Coil pieces, eschewing formal song .

'Worship the Glitch' is the only album by Coil released under the name ELpH vs. Coil. ELpH is the name Coil gave the random compositions that their equipment generated, partly by itself and partly as a byproduct of their music and this album is a collection of these compositions. So, we technically got here the first full Ambient album by Coil.

Dais Records is proud to announce the official reissue of "ELpH vs Coil - Worship the Glitch". Remastered by engineer Josh Bonati and supervised by Coil's Drew McDowall. "Unexplainable" may well be the best explanation for the members of the UK based electronic outfit COIL.
